How does yoga differ from exercise?
While there is some overlap between the two it’s important to appreciate some fundamental differences:
Physical therapy works to improve mechanical function such as muscle tone, stability, mobility and alignment for your fitness and wellbeing
Though also working with your structure, yoga is a mindfulness-based body therapy with a focus on mind-body connectivity and stress reduction for your physical and mental health
Working one on one we can use the principles of yoga and physical therapy to embrace the whole mind-body spectrum and provide you with a sound base for healthy function
